Great photos…”Confiscated crowns.” I’m assuming this is in the 1920s when The League of Militant Atheists was operating at it’s peak. And I’ve always been impressed by the pure Science that was promoted by the Soviet Union. The U.S. in science has been retarded by the pervasive, reactionary influence of religion and “business interests” (capitalism) throughout it’s history. Examples are the Scopes Trial, the killing of the Superconducting Super Collider, the teaching of creationism in Kansas, textbooks in Texas, the cutting of the space program, agribusiness (which put profit over innovation), etc., etc.

    THAT PIG..no way that’s real…

  3. OLUT says:

“Hunting leaders” — OMG, I so misread that!

The Animal Husbandry caption is pretty funny when you notice the picture just below it, starring a man and a pig lying on a bed.

I love the traffic robot, and the space-age pedal-car. If real roads were filled with only traffic robots and pedal-cars, road rage would disappear forever!

    • OLUT says:

Oh! And the punk-rockers. I miss the punk and goth days of 1980’s and earlier.

    • Fred Johnson says:

But why did they even NEED a “traffic robot”? They had NO CARS! That’s one thing I’ve noticed here, looking at almost all of the older photo’s, is there are no cars anywhere. (well, VERY few)

The freaks of the end of the 80’s are the funniest. Love the Rambo T shirt with those bad ass pants and striped sweater.

  5. ptc says:

Achievement of soviet breeding – enormous pig in size of a cow and eight-legged four-horns sheep :-)

These elks in universite – it look more than a moose

  6. alcanal says:

    Those were moose, not elk.

  7. lbytesxk says:

In Soviet Russia even the moose are educated
