So Different Underground Basements of Moscow

Posted on July 1, 2012 by team

The Neglinka is the river in the centre of Moscow, the left tributary of the Moskva river. Its length is 7,5 km and nearly along the whole distance it flows inside the pipe.

In rainy days the manifold may be full

There are many drains inside

It is quite surprising but the water is clean and it doesn’t smell bad in here.

Wide moderm manifold

Road signs

Each 300 m there is a way up

Something is drained right through hatches

Waste draining is forbidden

Here the Neglinka falls into the Moskva

Basements of the 19th century

They are about 5-6 m high and more than 100 m long.

The mechanism works by itself..

The basements are so old that they seem to be haunted…
