Special vintage trains should have coaches with open windows so people can enjoy the view, make photos, let their senses work. Providing air-conditioned, airliner-style coaches with closed windows gives nothing from the nostalgic feel, smell and sound of a steam locomotive trip.

But anyway, at least it’s fun for the railfan photographers!

Guests in Poznan, Poland, may be interested with similar attraction: a Poznan-Wolsztyn train pulled by a steam locomotive which will take them to the last functioning steam locomotive’s roundhouse in Europe. It’s the only line now on which steam locomotives are used for normal lines, not special tourists courses. The train travels twice a day, on the morning and in the afternoon, and stays on the main train station for 2 hours, so if anyone happens to be in Poznan can take a look. Currently they use PKP class Ol49 steam locomotives.
