Each April Taimyr has festive mood. In the regional centre they celebrate Heiro holiday or a reindeer day - holiday of the Sun. Right at this time light part of the day becomes longer behind the polar

circle turning into the whole light day. The sun doesn't set at all. The day of the Sun slowly became the day of deer breeders celebrated on April weekends in the villages of Taimyr.

The Big Solar Furnace represents a complex optical and mechanical mechanism with automated control systems. It consists of a heliostat field and a paraboloid concentrator forming the stationary flow of energy of high density in the focal zone of the concentrator. The area of the reflecting surface of the

heliostat field - 3020m2, the concentrator - 1840 m2. The temperature in the focus of the concentrator rays exceeds 3000 C. It's the biggest solar furnace in the world! The solar furnace is located in Uzbekistan, its power is 700kW. There is the second furnace like this, it is situated in France.

Astrakhan is an amazing city where details of the past are neighbouring with the present. Right in the centre of the city there is a residential area that rather resembles decorations

for some old movie. Some houses are abandoned, others are not. Though it's not easy to tell one from the other. Time is not merciful and houses look miserable.
