It’s amazing how many abandoned places Russia has. I suppose it’s a combination of factors like breakup of the USSR, population decrease, economic conditions, migration towards the cities and others…

That’s what happens when Capitalism takes over. The Soviet Union made sure of caring of all places. Now it takes Capitalism to get anything done as far as repairs. Capitalism kills more people worldwide than Stalin could have ever dreamed of achieving, so who’s the bigger murderer?

How do lights still function in these places? Did they not disconnect the electricity?

  12. Olipole says:

Maybe the poor conditions , the people were living in. Many people had to migrate to other places as well. Seems like they make their own rules. Children were probably not treated properly and wounded up dying. It’s a huge building to make huge mistakes. And electricity was not their main problem. Suffering bankruptcy was big and people were not prepared for the future.

Am I the only one who sees the face inside the cabinet behind the pipes? Is this an authentic photograph?
