Photos of Vladivostok taken at night show how magnificent the city is.

It is better to reach Kholodilnik Mountain by car because the distance between the bus stops is too great to cover. 2 cell towers serve as landmarks.

The place has 4 cannons located next to the Muravyov-Amurskiy Fort. The weapons are in a very good condition.

Standing on the top of the mountain one can see the central and northern parts of the city. The road is filled with garbage from a construction site. The very top is clean though.

There is a small park next to the mountain.

A container terminal.

A trade port.

One of the main streets of the city is under construction now (Ocean Prospect).

The yellow light of the lanterns on the street is visible in any weather and is intended specially for the misty city.

The TV tower on Orlinaya Mount is under illumination now.

Parts of the construction were restored and painted first.

Going to Nasimov Peninsula.

I am curious as to what the Russian-N. Korean border looks like which is not too far from that city. Is it heavily fortified?
USSR was an ally of N.Korea. Today Russia and N.Korea have a neutral relationship. They aren’t enemies. Russian-N. Korean border is only 17km long. Natural fortification is a river. There is no need in heavy fortifications.
Oh, you’re lucky one.
There is a Youtube video series where man drives across the whole Russia and actually goes all the way to North Korean border. He sees a small fence with barbed wire, small gate and single bored guardsman there.
Search Youtube for “Road Video Expedition «Moscow – Vladivostok» Day 21 part 2/3″.
Beautiful set of Vladivostok photos! Really gives another dimension to the city. Its so different from the very useful Yandex Panorama (like Street-View only better) perspectives of Vladivostok.
