Who are they? The lost boys, that’s who. They smoke, they drink and do drugs, they tell each other lies about their sexual conquests, they waste time because they come from nowhere and they know that in the end that’s where they’re going to.

Wow, I’d be embarrassed to be a Russian. No wonder Russian girls like foreigners.
Been to Russia, and primarily Moscow a few times, and it always hit you, how the hell does this work, majority of the women, is soo hot and every guy looks like shit, poor guys. The Russians I know say it’s an aftereffect from WWII, but I’m not 100 convinced.

Hey people, they aren’t that bad. Young men trying to impress and fit in… it is the same everywhere. Don’t catastrophize the posting. Yes Russian women are the most beautiful/resilient in the world, but to say that all Russian men are ugly is just narrow-minded and ignorant.
Those guys are nothing more then a lower middle class with all cultural draqbacks and they are no worse than those who populate “neighbourhoods” in the US big cities, like DC.

if these are the same young men who have fist fights on all youtube with the title “Russian street fight” or “russian football fight” etc then I wouldn’t laugh at their lack of budget for clothes.

Yep! Especially in 90s Adidas was very popular in Russia. The term “gopnik” refers to a 18-25 years old person who extorts money or other valuables (particularly cell phones) from others in order to get some extra beer or drugs. Adidas+shoes(or sneakers)+leather cap(or hur hat)= the classic outfit of gopnik. And these images describe that kind of guy close enough. I suppose there are alot of equivalents of such phenomenon around the world. The dwellers of ghettos in the US for instance.
