A Ship That Will Never Sail Again

Let us visit a ship that failed to become a museum. The entourage remained only in the deck house and captain’s cabin. Other compartments were totally empty.

This is a plan of the museum.

The money observed everywhere on the floor was left here following some event.

Different decks are connected with the help of these hermetic hatches.

List of special signals.

Plan of defense and protection.

Exit is prohibited.

    • Snowbee says:

Wait, are those just a bunch of hundies laying around on the floor of some decrepit Russian battleship?!

    • Mister Dog says:

Looks to me like a Krivak I class frigate from the shots of the masts and radar antennae. Of course that’s the NATO designation, I’m sure it’s something else in Russian.

  2. Blake says:

Does anyone ever wonder what the Soviet sailors thought about when on the ship? Were they thinking of the collapse in a few year? Or how they love their country?

  3. BlowME says:

American money in the garbage bucket inside an abandoned soviet battleship is somewhat symbolical…

  4. Osip says:

What “event” would involve strewing false U.S. currency about a rusty Soviet era warship?

    • Musa says:

The photographer stages the fake US currency or sometimes the real small US bills on old ships like this, it’s sorta trade mark of his.

  5. jeffrey pigden says:

In NATO, the ‘hermetic hatches’ are called watertight doors.

  10. VikingBerserker says:

It’s not a battleship, that’s for sure. Any idea what kind of ship it is?

    • J. Doe says:

My guess it was a submarine destroyer. In one of the pictures there are instructions for “compelling foreign submarines to surface” :)

  11. Bill says:

A listening ship or guidance for some form of missiles i reckon.

  12. OldBikr says:

Wazzup with all of the expended rifle ammo casings laying around?

  13. Musa says:

    I love ships, how sad.

  14. Justus says:

It should be towed to salvage as long as it is still floating.

  15. alessio215 says:

1 picture of the whole ship exterior would have been nice.
but thanks anyway for those nice pictures

  16. Muzzlehatch says:

From cruiser to missile boat, all Russian warships seem to have the same tiny steering wheel.
