How They Live In Noginsk 2

Posted on December 19, 2011 by

15 families (41 people) live in a military barrack called Noginsk-2 near the city of Noginsk. The building is literally falling into pieces and it is simply dangerous to live in.

The story began in 1992 when in newspapers people read an advertisement, “Construction workers are wanted”. Immigrants form Central Asia were promised apartments, registration and good wages but in fact they were lodged in Military Unit 55153 and didn’t receive their salaries for months. Besides, the building belongs to the Ministry of Defense and after the military unit became disbanded, it became needless.

An expertise found the barrack unlivable but the Ministry of Defense hasn’t carried out the court decision on providing new accomodation to these people yet and today they have to live like this…

I’ll leave it to the russophiles to find something positive to say about this one. Sean? Anyone?

I’m not a Russophile but how about this? All governments lie (and steal and cheat).

      • Hirsh says:

That’ll do. I couldn’t think of anything positive to say either. :(

Maybe Sean or “Anyone” will help us see the “light” we’re currently blind to? BTW I’d live there over a derelict Ford Pinto… Positive??

Of course if someone wanted better living conditions than this in the US, they’d be spoiled entitlement minded (and socialist! *gasp*) brats. Even though, you know, they slept in tents for months to make a point.

you know, this is of course terrible, but those of you looking at shock-pieces like this as a vehichle to justify an ideological stance on an entire country, are deluded and cynical. Really, you need “russophiles” to apologize to you for the plight of these people so your view is reinforced??? Please, you can go look at videos of thousands crack-addicted homeless people roaming the streets of los angeles (skid row). Those people’s plight is horrible too, but you know what? So is using it in order to prove/justify a stance on a country or using it to label a country a failed state. Just sayin. Get a life

    Sad, no more to say.

Where the hell did they find this? I’ve been living in the Moscow Oblast for 15 years and it looks nothing like this :P
