Let’s go and check how the construction of the bridge in Zolotoy Rog Bay in Vladivostok is going.

The bridge is really impressive! It’s all steel and concrete!

You are not allowed to enter the bridge without wearing a hard hat.

Do you want to climb up the ladder?

‘Elevator. Load-carrying ability: 1400 kg or 17 persons’.

It goes up and down once every half an hour.

This is a barge with elements of the construction.

Its name is ‘Stepan’.

Let’s take a walk on the bridge now!

An attachment point of the cable stay and the bridge.

In front of that yellow crane there is a ‘hotbed’ with welders.

A ‘flying’ truck.

Cable stays are made right on the bridge. This is a cover.

One of the ropes  for the cable stay. Each cable stay has a certain number of them.

Filling the covers.

Cable stay wheels (for easy transportation).

This is how they use them.

Fixing the cable stays.

Up there, they are doing the same but under much worse weather conditions.

Workers got tired of numerous photographers and newlyweds who come here to take photos.

This is a very impressive design. The construction is very ambitious. However, a serious concern should be the upkeep. Being so close to the salt water and the extreme temperature fluctuations make decay a serious problems. With the amazing amounts of posts we see here regarding abandoned facilities and poorly maintained roads, I can envision seeing a post in the future showing a serious collapse or accident on this bridge.
