News From Russian Roads, Part 46

    27
    Posted on December 3, 2011 by ok4u2bu

Enjoy another photo collection of news from the roads of Russia!

    Good exercise for your biceps!

‘Would you like to take my parking spot?’

    You’d better wait until winter.

One should be really brave (or brainless?) to try to enter this place!

Women in Russia are, as a rule, of much help. Even in a situation like that.

    ‘Red Sails!’

    M53 ‘Baikal’ Federal Way.

This is what the windshield wipers are made for!

These are some photos of home-made winter motorcycle tires. Take a look!

About the 2 guy’s travel in Europe, I can count 11 crossed country. Also, Hyères is not in Marseille, and Marseille don’t have a “s” at the end.

In English Marseilles with the ‘s’ is correct but without the ‘s’ is has been gaining ground. It is correct usage.

Russia needs to spend infrastructure on their roads. Especially in the Siberian region. A national highway should never be unpaved or not serviced.

One can now drive all the way to Vladivostok on (relatively) good road. I would not have thought it possible just a few short years ago, but there it is. Once you get to Vladivostok however, is a whole ‘nother kettle of fish. Worst roads and streets I’ve ever seen in a large, modern city. Beautiful and friendly ladies in the Customs house, though.

I have and idea, let’s try to drive around this large truck that just fell over on it’s side when it tried to traverse this muddy flooded section of road. I think our SUV can make it! lol

The spike tyres are for ice and snow.

There is a picture of an American police car stuck in cement on a different site.

USSR/Russia (same thing) spent all of its money building war equipment and missiles.

It has 3rd world roads and still is 50 years behind the western countries.

I am mystified how Russia operates on a daily basis, the people normally express no emotion and/or appear very defensive.

Compared to Germany the culture is night/day different.

Just like the road situation, the roads are terrible in Russia and man hole covers are stolen from the roads and accidents are routine from them.

Russia/USSR (same thing – fancy name) has provide the world with military equipment 100 times over.

Germany is where engineering/machining is world renowned and Russia is known for weapons manufacturing.

Not only that but they are some of the laziest workers in the world. They have not idea of the concept of a “deadline”, spend the day thinking up ways to avoid work and walk around in a stupor all day long nodding their heads and shaking hands. They all need a kick in the pants to get them going.

The two of you could really do with a kick in the pants (specifically between the legs). Might bring you into the real world.

Those guys with the 1988 OKA are majorly good at road trips. I wonder what they would do if they were turned loose in North America. It might make a good reality TV show.
