The Snow Removal Salt for Vladivostok Roads

Last year there was a large advertising of new street cleansing machines that use liquid reagents to prevent roads from freezing in winter. Let us see what reagents are used in this case.

Calcium chloride, CaCl2, is registered as a food additive E509 and is considered harmless. It will be put in a new appliance where a special mixture is made.

Place a calcium chloride bag in an upper bunker and load water into the lower barrel, then mix it all up and the solution is ready.

The bag contains a ton of chloride.

Ready-made products are stored in the barrels.

Now it’s time to launch the aggregate.

Specialists are examining the control panel.

The bag was supplied together with the appliance.

It’s not a new technology in Quebec (Canada). We use this mixture for, at least, 40 years when it’s colder than 5 degrees Celsius.
