    Military Maneuvers In Krasnoarmeysk

    The photos were taken during a demonstration of new military equipment samples and military maneuvers of special units that belong to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.




    A ground where equipment was demonstrated.

    Soldiers are catching a flag of Russia: it must not fall down.

    Soldiers are going to demonstrate military equipment.

    They demonstrate the work of supersonic grenades.

    OSV-96, a Russian large calibre semi-automatic sniper rifle chambered for the 12.7 x 108 mm round.

    BTR-90, an 8×8 wheeled armoured personnel carrier developed in Russia, designed in 1993 and first shown publicly in 1994.

        This is not the regular army. These are VV forces, subordinate to the MVD.

      I like the parachute guy with a motor and propeller on his back. looks like it could be fun if it was not being used in a battle.

        That is a moto paraglider, it is mostly used by ordinary people just for fun and just happens to be also used by military, so it is available to all.

        It is fun for him, he’s not using it in battle. It’s a training demonstration. There’s a difference.

            The one with the really long barrel is the OSV-96. The smaller ones are SVDK’s.

      It’s a btr80a, not 90.

        Actually it is a BTR-90. You can tell the difference because the turrets are different. The 90 has a BMP turret.

          Sorry but you are wrong, look again, on picture 10, this is a BTR-80A with semi automatic turret armed with 2A72 and PKT. It is also possibly a BTR-82A, modernised version which have remplaced the BTR-90 contract.
