7 A Disbanded Frontier Post

A Disbanded Frontier Post

Everybody knows that a state border is sacred, untouchable and needs to be guarded properly. Today we are going to visit a disbanded frontier post in the Far East of Russia.

Boiler-house and generating station.

Some oil and diesel fuel are still contained in the barrels.

One day the barrels will rust out and the oil will penetrate the ground.

Inside the boiler-house.

Repair base.

Lock-up garage.

Carbon monoxide.

Can these be chemical and radiation warehouses? Sooner or later liquids inside the bottles will enter the air and earth around the place and nobody knows what can happen then.

i guess the thing in the green bottles is an NBC_Protect-powder. Look at the Boxes on the right side,…covered with some white dust.

I doubt there will be any diesel left when those barrels rust thru – locals will take care of it long before that.

It looks like an old engine repair shop to me and like all other old military facilities it will have some old chemical protection gear lying around the bottles are either ether for spraying into engine manifolds or some sort parts cleaner.

Must have been a well equipped place in its time. Reminds me of the Antarctica Exploration station in The Thing.
