FEMEN have decided to show off in Europe too. In Rome they participated in a protest action against Silvio Berlusconi. They demanded his immediate resignation and compared him with president Yanukovich. The most evident similarity between the two politicians, according to the activists, is the fact that they both fail reforms, do not observe the law, are corrupt and connected to mafia.
Another protest action took place in Vatican. Two participants had been detained by the police before the topless action began.
In this way they demonstrated against the propaganda of church which imposes the medieval conception about the woman’ mission on the world, which includes the abortion ban, censure of contraception, and interference in the appearance of women.
The demonstration raised some panic in Vatican police, which dispersed the journalists and arrested those who kept photographing.
The activists were detained and spent about 4 hours in a police department. Under pressure from media, Vatican police did not deport the girls to Ukraine and let them stay in Vatican.

Well they sent a wrong message. People really didn’t care about the protest. It’s not like a novelty or something. we had our feminine “wars” back in the 60′s 70′s.
Now they just made themselves look fools. People were annoyed by the protests and they found no to little support.
Though we understand their protest in their homeland it’s stupid for them to make this kind of display in other country. It didn’t made any sense.
Despite that of course chicks are welcome everywhere so come over and do more :p (only for that reason)
Pedro you make good points. The girls of FEMEN are right to protest illegal prostitution. Illegal prostitution supports organized crime, prays on runaways, and is the major factor in human slave trade.
Historically, the majority of prostitutes are usually immigrants, in any country, that arrive from economically depressed homelands. Ukraine and the former USSR, was depressed for some time and as a result, huge numbers of women were FORCED by their condition to do what they had to do. Unfortunately, the girls of FEMEN message is totally obscured by their exposed mammalian protuberances.
Prostitution should be legal, and controlled, to some degree everywhere.

Well that sounds like the same reception they get from passersby in Ukraine. Nobody takes them seriously, but don’t anyone tell FEMEN that. They may lose hope and give up their protests!
I am not convinced at all anymore again it is the same three women where are the other FEMEN?I have never seen more than maybe 10 different ones if there are so many truly with them why do they never appear?This looks more and more like a stunt for attention by a small group of women only seeking personal fame.
