In Perm they plan to open two new works of art, ‘Scarab’ and ‘Black Angel’, created by a Kazakh artist. It took him 50 days and over a thousand of tire casings to do that.
‘Scarab’ is a sculpture of a dung beetle (or scarab) rolling a large rubber ball. It refers to an old myth about a dung beetle – the symbol of the Sun.
These creations show the viewer that works of high art sometimes may be made of trash, they make us think about environmental problems of the city we live in.
‘Scarab’ is located near the railway station of Perm and ‘Perm Gates’ made of fir logs.
‘Black Angel’ you could already see on our website.
With this work the artist ‘puts a spell’ on the robbery 90s, symbolized by this BMW.

I like the dung beetle one. They are very good little beetles.
