From September, 2nd till September, 4th, a unique ‘vanity fair’ took place in Moscow. It was held in the Royal Yacht Club, which is the biggest yacht club in Russia. The latest yacht models of the world leading yacht producers, and other luxury goods were presented there.
Representatives and members of yacht clubs, yacht owners and men of fashion, who wanted to choose and purchase a yacht, came to the show. There were premieres from Azimut, Feretti, Princess, Cobalt, Pershing, etc.
Apart from yachts, the visitors of the show were presented with a Porsche premiere, Jo Malone perfume, Franc Vila watches, and other luxury-class goods.
Victoria Lopiryova, ex-Miss Russian Federation, and Vyacheslav Manucharov, Honored Actor of the Russian Federation, hosted the Grand Opening ceremony. Exhibition of the latest models of yachts was followed by the award show Moscow Yacht Show Awards 2011. After that, the guests enjoyed a fashion show by Julia Dalakyan.

Yachts. I wander why they are always painted white.
Why not… I don’t know… red?
White has the best UV-protection (ultraviolet light from sun) and that’s a major problem on boats.
You can see that UV is a serious problem on sunny states to cars too: Red ones are quite soon very faded while white is still very good. Different pigments have different UV-resistance and red is one of the worst. At least for now.

What about America’s poverty? It may not be as abject but it still exists. The way I see it, worshipping an ideology and being blinded by it is a fault both the West and East should quickly learn to overcome.
Good point. George should see the distibution of property in the US first: top 1% owns 42% of everything and the majority, 80% of the rest own 7%, all put together.
I’d say it’s not much different than in the Russia now: “the nation” might be rich, but 80% of the people don’t own anything.
“Anything” being a relative term, I admit that, but capitalism is made by rich for the rich for stealing the money of ordinary people (the riffraff). That’s the ideology. US now is a glaring example for that and EU isn’t far behind: EU leaders are stealing 120 billions from citizens (and only poor ones pays taxes, so all of it is taken from poor people) to “save Greece”, i.e. half a dozen German and French banks, not Greece.
They make them white so they yellow well under the sun, so you have a reason to buy a new one and enjoy the show like this one.

Those are really a fabulous cars and yacht you have here, it’s a great feeling to have one of those but unfortunately only a millionaire can have it.
