Abandoned Repair Station Of Break Equipment

It always seems strange when places that were popular once are now left abandoned. Repairs of break equipment related to a rolling stock is carried out at special stations. The stations can be located on the territory of a factory or in a small building like the one in the picture.

Breaking appliance cleaning and disassembling were done in the first room.

Workshop is quite clean and orderly for a BRAKE parts repair shop, especially in abandonement. Looks like it was recently cleaned and painted.

It looks to be for Railroad brake gear. The long pipes look to be Axle shafts and the “broken Rubber” looks to be new bushings since they still have the talc coating. The drill press is quite nice.

Someone is keeping out the riff-raff.

  10. Verto says:

This kind of “ancient machine repairing” facility has to be close for the good of quality engineering.
