It seems that lake Baikal is created to be constantly photographed or painted as its views are just amazing. All the following pictures were made by a photographer Stanislav Savin.

Beautiful photo’s. I used to chat to a young lady from Chita who has driven on Lake Baikal in the winter, and sunbathed on its beaches in the summer. Unfortunately we lost contact, which was sad because of losing touch with a friend firstly, and also losing a source of wonderful photo’s.

It’s beautiful. So beautiful. Strategically also very important – it’s biggest world’s source of drinkable fresh water, 1/6th part of all the fresh water. right? On the other hand it’s way too close to China, which has big plans for SIberia’s natural resources.

You could contact him through his Live Journal account, the link is http://sav-in.livejournal.com/174466.html#cutid1

He may sell or post them somewhere else, but even if there aren’t larger images to get from him, there are probably many more photo posts there to enjoy.
