    Trying to decide which meal is worse. The Concord school food, or the prisoners’ random metal objects?

    the nails and other “foreing objects” extracted from the bodies shows how people wanted to get out of the “soviet prisons” no matter what… and that is only a very little piece of the iceberg

    How would eating the metal things help them leave prison? Would it make them die?

    I am Russian, so i can explain why are these nails were swallowed by prisoners. It is all because these times were hard even in jail so people were swallowing all the stuff to get in jails hospital for some time, where he could eat better food rest more (in better conditions) and main thing he was not forced to work while he is there.
