Today we’ll visit a remote military base consisting of dozens of sheds where equipment of different kind is stored.
Russia is a country of contradictions and phenomena. A huge state with amazing strategic possibilities and resources and unbelievable high prices for oil and gas. While metropolitan cities are believed to be the richest places on earth, the major part of the population leads modest lives. The country has vast territories of fat land only several percents of which is used. All this can be said about Russia, great military power of which is closely related to a ‘who cares’ attitude.
64H6 detection radar system passed into service in 1988. Its batch production started one year later. Its export model 64H6E designed for supply of the combat operations control center with radar data was tested in 1995. It can discover objects at the distance of 300 km and determine its state affiliation.
Automatized data collection enables to view up to 200 objects at a time. The computerized system carries out the management of the machine, processing of radar information, and finding objects.
Many equipment units have just gone through the trials and were placed in a warehouse.
The long lines of metal constructions are now waiting patiently for the opportunity to kill.
It would be hard to imagine the real size of the base if you have never been there.
Military complexes of different kinds are stored at the same place.
The wheels need to be pumped up.
