Posted on September 2, 2011 by team

Yesterday, a bromine leak took place in the city of Chelyabinsk. A container with the dangerous chemical was on fire for a long time. Acrid smoke spread all over the city. Still, the authorities didn’t even bother to inform people and the latter had to find out everything themselves…

0.001% of bromine in the air causes irritation of mucous membranes and dizziness. Higher concentrations can cause airways spasms and asphyxiation. A 35 g dose may be lethal.

With all this, the authorities continue saying that it’s not dangerous for human life and health until being touched. At the current moment more than 40 people are hospitalized…

Why don’t they just change the name of the place to Bophal and be done with it?

Chelyabinsk happens to be one of the planet’s most polluted places. And it has weird kid parties in nightclubs… The place needs a government urgently.
