If you only knew that girls with vaulting poles could be a mere sight you would attend light athletics sporting events more often no matter if you are a sports fan or not. One of such championships was held in Cheboksary on July 21-24 and attended by 1500 people. There is no doubt that grace and strength of the winners who got a chance to go to the 13th IAFF World Championships in Athletics Daegu 2011 will be appreciated by their spectators .

    And some other competitions:

Impressive yes, but I prefer my women to be more feminine and not as brawny, thanks anyway.

It’s really depressing to see corporate logos everywhere. I refuse to wear any clothing with corporate logos, go to sporting events, or associate with any person who wears clothing with corporate logos. Comrades only wear plain, monochromatic clothing.

Who is going to pay for all these athletes to train and entertain us? They need corporate sponsors to eat and live.

Who? You mean the ones that are training Americans now? I wonder if Americans are wining now because they are using the same training methods that soviets used to or because they are filling themselves with steroids!

Good thing this is a Russian post otherwise the minorities and people of color would be throwing out lawsuits and screaming to the high heavens about not being repesented.

How is Yelena Isinbajeva doing these days? I´d love to see her in Deegu. I have plenty of time in August so I´m going to watch the games.
