    A Piece of Bread, Anyone?

    24
Posted on July 1, 2011 by team

No, it’s not photoshop, it’s the real bread.

In fact, “VladKhleb” (“Vladivostok Bread”) is the main producer of bakery goods in the city. And they do their products rather well. But what’s that? Some new kind of bread that looks really weird.

It tastes like ordinary bread, but looks decomposed…

    or mouldy…

It was produced in a usual way. So can you guess what’s wrong?

The answer is a bit of activated carbon added in the recipe.

Really? That is the best you have got? Your really getting upset about this repulsive bread? Wow! You are overly sensitive. I think you need therapy. Are you that insecure about your country that you have to defend this gross bread?

Yes, the bread looks weird and funny. It has some carbon…! But might be more healthy than the usual bread of an artery choking BigMac and Bacpn Waffles. That diet turns people into walking whales or into real corpse bread.

It’s a remedy used when you have an indigestion, diarrhea, or need to detox from something bad you’ve eaten.

Not just hangover but any stomach ailment. In NA, activated charcoal is a treatment for ingested poison.

This isn’t bad as a pre-emptive hangover cure (burnt toast is also used). But the color might cause you to hurl when drinking.

I can only suppose adding carbon to bread is for medical use. Does it work?

no offense guys, but it looks like ashes, it reminds me the asbestos roofing of my garage
But I guess the bread must be safe to eat. Its only the color doesn’t seems too inviting

Hahahaha, it looks so weird and inedible at first but real moldy bread would look WAY nastier than this. Here it just looks like a very sad shade of grayish blue. I’m sure the carbon was added for rumors of health benefits or the bakers wanted to see how people would react to their faux-moldy bread.
I’d buy some just so I could eat it in front of people to see how they’d react. “Ugh, no, what are you doing, it’s all moldy!” “Oh, I love my moldy bread, you guys. Om nom nom!” Anyway, I love bread, especially thick doughy bread and this looks like it’d be good as soon as you got over the color. I’d buy it!
