Houses For Moscow Elite

Rublevka is an unofficial name of the most expensive land in the Moscow region where the houses of former Soviet elite, high state officials and celebrities are located. The following are pictures of some houses which are still open for sale.

Views on life in the region are quite different. If common people think that life in the region symbolizes success, many celebrities believe it now to be bad manners.

The disagreement is natural and stresses a wide gap between representatives of upper class who managed to be in the right place at the right time and less successful, far-sighted and pushing members of lower classes.

It’s nice to see beautiful architecture instead of run-down decrepit Russia.

For the most part, the designs and furnishings are too sterile for my tastes, the only exception would be the bathroom. The pools are rather inviting but that’s because I love water and to swim. I’ve seen photographs of more beautiful homes in the Moscow area than this one, but it’s still an interesting post. Thank you.

  5. JZ says:

The hi-tech interiors look sweet! Don’t like those royal style rococo interiors though.

Maybe someday we will come to Russia and take what we want, I will live in the first house and can have plenty of servants to polish my boots. I will be Czar and you can still be peasants eating beet broth. Sounds good to me…………………………………..just kidding, is most beautiful places, if I close my eyes and think with no people around, it could be anywhere here in wealthy part of US .

  8. Sabot says:

Some of those interiors are quite tasteful and interesting as opposed to some of that over-gilded neo Tsarist silliness.

I’ve been to Russia, and have a Russian Daughter-in-Law… and stayed in Moscow – and even then I thought the buildings were stunning – Neo-classical – however, the contemporary interiors were Ok but not cutting edge! and the classic interiors needs ripping out and starting again!

Who gave you the permission to publish pictures of my house?

  22. Ben says:

I never liked the gross discrepancies between the rich and poor. None of this men and woman did accumulate all this with their own hands. They forget that hundreds and thousands of others participated in all this ill gotten grandeur. Sick to see how the workers and pensioners have to exist because of the greed of a few…
