    Manipulating The Weather

The cloud seeding technology is widely used by many countries of the world in an attempt to establish control over nature. They add silver iodide, dry ice and liquid nitrogen to the clouds causing immediate precipitation. As a result, the rain will be over by the time the clouds reach the place of destination.

People thought of controlling precipitations in the 17th century. They used bell ringing and gunnery for the purpose of cloud shifting.

Nowadays Moscow keeps practicing cloud seeding when the coming great events to be celebrated like Victory Day on the 9th of May demanding good weather.

The holiday is celebrated all over the country. Nevertheless, while the citizens and guests of the capital are enjoying the good weather and splendid shows, the inhabitants of, say, Tver and other cities located in the vicinity of Moscow are making celebrations in the pouring rain caused by the usage of the cloud seeding technology.

The results of the seeding technology both shortcoming and long-term are difficult to assess. Look at the pictures made at the dawn of May, 9th in Moscow right after the seeding technology had been used. The weather was changing very rapidly. Such a thing had never been common for Moscow before. It can definitely be a consequence of cloud seeding.

The dawn started at 4:50 a.m. It was very cold.

In a minute the gusty wind brought clouds with it.

    5:52 a.m.

    5:53:21 a.m.

6:02 a.m. It was foggy with clouds covering most part of the sky.

6:32 a.m. The first signs of the new dawn were noticed.

Some scientists are sure that the natural balance mustn’t be disturbed. It’s better not to use the cloud seeding technology
until the remote consequences are assessed. Harming the environment we harm peoples’ health.
