The sky in Vladivostok is so often cloudy and fog rises over the city. Some houses standing in the mist look like ships. The following pictures are made from houses’ roofs.

Can somebody tell me what are these cables hanging from roof to roof? I’ve them in many cities. Is it cable tv or some kind of self-made network? They can’t be power cables because they are too thin.

Cables hanging from roof to roof are coaxial and Ethernet cables of numerous TV and internet providers. It’s easier way to make a network. It is difficult to use existing underground ways because they are paid and belongs to state monopoly.

This is not fog. In English it is called sea smoke. I saw this in Magadan. It is a cloud at sea level that can rain on you, but if you are in a 5 story building you are dry. Very strange!
