Nothing like good old American steel.
Steel, that’s all those American cars were worth talking about.
I have a ’67 Benz for a daily driver, the last year of a model from the 50′s and that thing is decades ahead of what Americans had. The closest thing Americans had was the Corvette and even a friend who’s looking to spend around 250K on a ’67 Corvette admits there’s not that much to talk about compared to my car.
Yes, nothing as stone-age as good ol’ american steel. The corvette Stingray looks good at least but all american cars from all eras have been utterly rubbish. They are still catching up to the rest of the world but will never make a decent car, there is always some major flaw with them, like decades old chassis or terrible rear axle/suspension setups.
First
Yes, the U.S. made good automobiles, but you should note they were built by unionized workers of the 1950s and 60s. Now, the non-unionized workers are building Japanese and Korean autos and the steel is not from the U.S. And today’s managers are like today’s politicians: ignorant, bloated, and only interested in their own wealth.
Anger management candidate?
Absolutely beautiful, stand back, I’m in LOVE…
those are nice cars but i now think that cars are a waste of money.my honda has only 92k miles and it is payed off.i will drive it until it cant be driven no more.there are other things i could spend my money on like a nice house!
And more machinist tools?
my job provides the tools for me,like cutting and threading incerts, calipers, micrometers, steel rulers ect…
i should keep in mind that this car rally is in the city of millionairs……
What an amazing collection of vehicles
Sure you might expect a Chevrolet Corvette or two
Mercedes etc
Yet a Ford Galaxie ? a 65 or 66 Chevrolet and even a vintage 59 Cadillac with fins
Interesting – no Japanese models and no trucks which are now the biggest thing in the US
Just a bit curious what will happened if i parked my old Volvo 240 beside that 1800S…
However, why is the American versions different from the nordic versions (as i know they are made at the same factory)? I hawe not seen the American editions in my contry so far or? Just curious…
