Easter, Easter day or Easter Sunday is the biggest, greatest and the most ancient holiday for all orthodox believers. According to the belief that day Jesus revived on the third day after his crucifixion. Peoples all over the world will be celebrating this festival day, eat colored boiled eggs, sweet special cakes and feel inexpressible pride for being religious.

That year Easter Day will be on the 23th of April.

Before Easter all orthodox believers keep the Lent, that is very strict fast lasting for 7 weeks.

Eggs coloring and Easter cakes cooking may become a special art as you can see.

Looks delicious, but what is the purpose of having different sized cakes, are they each a symbol for something religious? I really don’t care for the droopy, sloppy, dripping icing look, the painted icing looks the best. There are alot of beautiful decorated eggs. My favorite is the folk painted eggs. I don’t celebrate Easter but I do love cake and art. Thanks for the wonderful post and I hope all of you who celibrate Easter have a happy one.

Religious nut-jobs. It’s just food and time off work, forget the sky fairy.
