The Mariinsky Theatre or Mariinka is a historic theatre of opera and ballet in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. It was opened in 1860 and became the preeminent music theatre of late 19th century. There were many stages of great Russian directors’ masterpieces. The Mariinsky Theatre is home to ballet, opera and orchestra with the same names.

The ballet troupe of the Mariinsky theatre is considered to be one of the most beautiful, talented and professional groups in the world.

The ballet «Without» was composed by choreograph Benjamin Millepied in 2008. It is very intimate and with few decorations.

These are the pictures from the repetitions of this ballet in the Mariinsky theatre.

The ballet “Without” is about women that is why they prevail here.

The theatre is called in honour of the wife of the Russian emperor.
