Preparation for the Parade

Posted on April 15, 2011 by team

Preparation for the military parade held on the 9th of May is a matter of special importance. Several days ago there was the second rehearsal during which the mechanized column twice passed in front of the commander in both directions of the street. After that all the errors were analyzed. Here you can see the very process of the rehearsal.

Someone send them a video of the Macy’s parade or the Rosebowl parade.

Soviet legacy of the military parade being the ultimate expression of power and wealth. How about some floats with beauty queens and cheesy corporate mascotts?

  3. Montesquieu says:

It’s a bit disappointing at how sloppy and undisciplined they all look. I don’t know whether the lack of pride in the uniform that they wear has always been a problem, or is a matter of the post-1991 world.

  4. testicules says:

The Russian military has always has cheesy ill fitting uniforms.

  5. Otis R. Needleman says:

I wonder why they even bother with a parade any more.

Really Sven. Russian hasn’t fought and won a real war since the 1940’s. Infact most of Europe hasn’t fought any real wars since then. I’d say if it wasn’t for America you’d probably be speaking German. Enjoy that fact next time you have a coke at McDonalds, which by the way, sells more over seas than in America.

“honey, come quit there’s somebody wrong on the internet”.
but seriously, the most recent open warfare was in the balkans, the last european theatre. regretfully, after all the tragic lessons we did not smarten up.

The Cold War is over, really. Not everyone who comments here is an American. In fact I have seen trolls who pretend to be American just long enough to pizz off suxers like you. They love when f00ls like you actually believe they are really Americans and become enraged.

The only reason Russia took Berlin is Because the American backed off the throttle and let them. By the way. There was nothing left of value there becasue American and Brit bombers leveled the city. Something the Russians could never do. Build a strategic bomber force. Lets face it, the Russians would have lost the war without the USA

In the 27th picture the vehicle has what looks like a wooden log. Can someone tell me what that is for: now and then i see it attached to some russian armor but i cannot figure out what it is for?

Comrades! Forget this militaristic posturing. Celebrate the REAL International Worker’s Holiday (1 May). Ironically, it started in the U.S. but the authorities were so scared of the labor movement it was shifted to 2 September. Also: yes, I did pay my income taxes, Arch.

In Moscow, not the worst roads. In ordinary cities instead of roads – a medley. That’s why I do not like an early spring! Now mid-April and in our city streets nav still snowing.
Do you know why we have bad roads?
    1. Used bad materials
    2. Climate. Frequent rains and high humidity are destroying the roads very quickly for 1-2 years

  16. JZ says:

Some pimped out rims on those UAZ’iks ;)

unfortunately tanks are way too easy to kill these days. On the battlefield at night they stand out like a full moon. One drone from fifty thousand feet twenty five miles away can destroy ten tanks in less than ten minutes and the guy flying the drone is sitting with his feet up on the desk, reading a magazine waiting for his eight hour shift to end so he can meet his girlfriend for happy hour.
