Does this landscape look like an alien one? Of course, this is the Earth. It is simply the Kamchatka Peninsula famous for its wild beauty.

The pass Vilyuchinsky and a rather destroyed road.

The top of the volcano with height more than 2.000 meters.

You can see the steam emission in the left part.

Such beautiful views appear after the pass.

Landmarks are located to indicate the right direction in winter. But sometimes the snow level is so high that landmarks become invisible.

Gorely volcano in action.

Some tourists settled at the volcano foot.

Dry lakes. At times streams spread there forming a fantastic view!

A coal rock on the volcano.

The splendid sky.

The volcano seems small from the distance.

It is quite warm outside, but some snowflakes do not thaw all the year round.

Autumn is the most beautiful time in Kamchatka.

There are a lot of roads but nobody knows where they lead.

Locals pick up berries and mushrooms here.

The entrance to an icy cave.

Hidden caves.

A solidified lava.

Motorcycles traces can really damage the nature of tundra.

A funny figure of lava.

These lakes are dry only in September and August. The other time they are covered with snow.

Such cloud can hang under the volcano the whole day.

Was that a jackal?
Damn this place is beautiful! I would love to go check this out.
What’s with the overprocessed look?
Great scenery, but the pictures are so contrasty they actually hurt your eyes, and inspire a slight headache.
Also, WTF is the point of constantly having such uncompressed pictures on ER 300-500k, when they’ve been sized less than 800x600px? Its a waste of bandwidth, and makes this site horrifically slow for everyone, other than the broadband connected urban dregs of humanity.
