Driving your car in Russia you can meet a lot of Road Police Stations on your way. They are usually situated at the entrance of every city but you can also find road police officers almost anywhere on the road. These places are often those parts of the
road where drivers tend to break traffic rules more frequently. And what the road police officers do is stop any driver they like (or rather dislike) and check his driver's license. These are some pictures of the Kirov Road Station.
The Vnukovsky-400 Aircraft Repair plant is the biggest one in Russia. It was founded in 1941 and now about 1500 people are working there. It has the well-developed infrastructure, modern production complex, qualified workers and
lots of certificates for making different types of aircraft repair and service. In May, 2010 the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) audited this plant and certified that it corresponded to all requirements.
In the dark light of the polar night one could hardly see the outlines of two submarines covered with snow standing near moorage. This phrase sounds like the beginning of the adventure Cold War novel. Actually these submarines are children of that war – war of technologies, nerves and
attrition. The contents of 16 ballistic missiles which are in the bottom of such a submarine can destroy the whole East coast of the USA. This stuff wasn’t quite cheap for the USSR and after its breakdown the great number of these submarines couldn’t be kept anymore.
