These days Muscovites feel like in a fairy-tale. It seems the Snow Queen herself froze everything in its beautiful city. Here are amazing pictures of the consequences of the freezing rain in Moscow.

It takes lots of time for drivers to remove the ice from the car

Trees are bending to the ground because of the heavy icy burden

3-4 cm thick icy layers on the trees

People started calling a doctor 3-4 times more frequently

Ice on the trees, water on the roads

Old people have great difficulties in walking the icy roads

This car owner has a bad luck

And this is the lucky one

First to say I am glad i live in a tropical climate.
One day of rain in the middle of snowy winter. It happens not too often.
the weight of the ice on the trees must be tremendous.
I’m surprised at how many low to the ground cars there are. I would think everybody would want an SUV living in such conditions.
It is beautiful though.
Down here in Hicksville, 40 deg F (4.44444 C) is considered COLD!!
To remove the ice from these cars must be a tough job!
The trees break on the weight of the ice.
The pics are beautiful, but the damage and annoyance is big. I’ve never seen snow in here where I live.
OK that makes a lot of sense dude. Wow

Those pics make Moscow look like Icycle Land
ICE STORM!!!
It’s beautifull, but it’s dangerous for birds, because they can not find/get food: there is ice anywhere
Except for the sound of cracking tree limbs and fallen branches, ice storms make everything appear magical.
Had a really bad ice storm like this in suburbs of chicago about 10 years ago it did not melt for at least a week after. We had trees falling days after the storm my buddy and i watched a 100 foot tree fall on a house out of nowhere 2 days after the storm.
