And how come is it that they do not reciprocate and respect other peoples cultures? My girlfriend cannot wear a mini in their countries, but they insist on what they want to wear in other countries. Tolerance is a two-way street.

Actually I think it has more to do with the fact that no one else cares.
It’s probably best to think of it like being around someone who doesn’t like cussing. You aren’t allowed to do it at their house, but just because you don’t mind it doesn’t mean they have to cuss at your house that wouldn’t be logical at all.

It is just like being around a person who doesn’t like cussing – and a third person insisting that you are not allowed to cuss in your own house (possibly based on the belief that the person who doesn’t like cussing might burn the house down to emphasise the strength of their belief)

well with the way things are and they way people want things these days, i doubt u can find 70 virgins in any local community…

all u’d be getting is a used car… and after a few miles, they all start making noises and falling apart coz u dnt know how the previous owner drove that thing…

that is the harsh reality of america as it is today… a used car dealership…

Funny thing is they might tell these “things” that they will get their 72 virgins or w\e the number is suppose to be, but what they don’t mention is that all 72 aren’t guaranteed to be females.

if u are so affraid of getting ur head blown off then maybe u should think about what is going on…

did someone ever slap someone for no reason?

maybe if we, americans learned to mind our own business then we wouldnt have to worry about towers falling (yea! that was the guys from caves… give me a break) and heads blown off…

There are more american people killed everyday on american streets by fellow americans… lets take care of that first before we start to worry about what other are doing…

just look at canada… wonder why they are not affraid of getting “blown off”… maybe mulsims dont opperate in cold weather… yea! that must me it…

dont be a narrow minded, FOX NEWS beleiving, uneducated american… do ur own research… and by that, i do not mean that u should go ask ur neighbour what he thinks… and dont close the link when u read half way and it’s not what u want to hear… try to read what u dont want to hear and u will know both sides…

Once again, we bow down to the muslims. When will THEY offer compromise to us??

Actually, if you knew your history you would know that the founders of Israel invented modern terrorism. Ask the British.

I don’t have much sympathy for Muslims but even the Pentagon has admitted (in a paper written for Rumsfeld) that the US is hated in that region because of American foreign policy and invasions.

Yep, that was a real eyeopener as a teenager. I read up on this little bit of history that conveniently gets missed in the US school system’s history curriculum. Zionist bombings were pretty indiscriminate and made a pretty good foreshadowing of the IRA style stuff. Suicide bombing is just a newer iteration in the same old stuff. You don’t throw it or plant it waiting for things to happen, you walk it into the center of things for more efficient use of materiel.

Our navy got hit too. It’s all bad stuff when folk are reduced to that level of desperation, you have to stop and ask “why? why is this even happening?”

As an Irishman I’d have to disagree with you. One of the major problems that Ireland has had is the habit of remembering centuries old history and holding ancient grudges. Time to forget that and move on. Remembering history means learning from it and avoiding the mistakes of the past in future, not using the past as justification for continuing to make the same mistakes.

so after the rapes, pillages, murders, thefts, and numerous other crimes the irish should let the brits off the hook? if not for the ira the brits would still be in control of ireland.it was less then 100 years ago that this stuff went on, don’t believe me, look up what they did to a distant cousin of mine named joseph plunkett in 1916. sorry, most of the problems in the world are due to the brits, including the middle east, which, together with the french, brutally killed both jew and muslim. no sir, the brits think it was terrorism, but i think it was people fighting for freedom from the crown.

Islam is a religion and a political movement. It’s end goal is to take over the world. It will do what ever t takes to win and it is very patent.

If you don’t want to live by muslem laws then outfight and out breed them. They breed faster than the west. The most popular name n the UK for babies is Mohammed.

We in islam respect the women, treat them like diamond and jewellery not like Goods bought and sold. That’s enough for this.

About people saying Muslims are terrorist and blowing themselves, it is an individual cases, for the Muslims countries they defend themselves they don’t send their armies to kill people in any country.

I suggest you read more about history ask old men about what is the great culture 1400 years ago and have limits from Morocco in the west to the middle of China in the east.

Hate to tell this to you, but no woman in North America(or in most of Europe, for that matter), has to worry about what her daddy thinks of what she does. They’re called rights. Women have them in this country, and they can do what they want, even if you don’t like it. Think for a moment, how many polygamous women do you know of? How many men stoned for “adultery”? How many men have to wear shapeless tents so they don’t cause females to stumble? Nothing says “female equality” like women forbidden by law from feeling sunlight. Religious repression will be the death of free society, and this goes for ALL religions. While I am a Christian, attending bible college, in fact, I will say that religious repression against females runs rampant even in the Christian church, and I know the majority of men like things that way.

I’m no fan of cheerleaders (WHAT?)… no, seriously. They bring nothing to the sport, yet another spineless American use of sex to sell event tickets. But here, these girls are dressed no differently than just about any other big cheerleading team, and certainly no worse than the average late-teen, early twenties bimbo. That said, I think the muslim world needs to lighten up. They are born naked, or to put it in wacky religious terms, that’s how their god made them.

Diligence- Dont pretend you know history if you don’t. Columbus did NOT discover America, he just opened up trade routes between the old world and the new. There were MANY people that have record of being to the “New World” before Columbus. Have you ever heard of Leif Ericson? And for that matter, what about the Natives who supposedly came accross the Bering Strait; Incas, Myans, Aztecs, Olmecs of South America? Have you heard of the Anasazi Pueblo people who came about in about 1300 B.C.? Know your history first. Of course that is no excuse to be ignorant of others beliefs and so I get your point. Everyone has the God given right to make choices as to what they believe. Whether it be Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Atheism, or any other form of worship, so long as you are not forcing anyone to do something they do not want to do.

I agree on that one. History seems to be very partial to the region or country you live in. For example here in the U.S. alot of Civil War history makes the Confederates (South) look so horrible compared to the Union (North) when the truth was that the South felt they had their constitutional rights taken away (a bit more complicated than that). It was much more than a war fought over slavery as an institution and you need both sides to understand. Another example is when we find an old journal and take that person’s view to be fact, such as how they describe another person. For all we know they just had a disagreement and the person described is not at all like their discription. What about his point of view toward the author of the journal? There are always three points to a story; Yours, Mine, and the Truth. It is always better to read multiple accounts from different perspectives before you form a conclusion. That is all i am really trying to say.

that’s right, i could not agree more with you…we all have to look things from different perspectives…it might be inevitable that there are always room prone for misinterpretations…but that is where we have to be tolerant, reasonable, understanding, logical,& sensitive before react to sensitive issues…commonly it’s a 5 step process…
                i)you have to Tolerate first
ii)then you Reason on your own
iii)try to Understand their concept of beliefs
iv)be Logical, research & take everything into account…even their emotions
v)mutual respect in terms of Sensitivity…
as i said earlier, i don’t like history that much because of the terrible things that people have done and not proud of…i’m from an Asian country and well turmoil doesn’t seen to take a turn away from us as well…we are still resolving domestic conflicts…to me, i’m really fine with all religions…Christian, Buddhism, Hinduism,& Islam…i respect their norms and taboos…and i’d hope they do the same for me…

One rotten apple spoils a barrel? If it only takes one bad apple to spoil the barrel, why are there so many muslims murdering people to get them to covert to their hostile ways of believing in Alla (Jehovah for Jewish and Christians). Why do armed troops have to patrol the streets of wicked people in Iraq, trying to stop muslim extremest from bombing and killing children every day? Why are about 10 out of 100 muslim people terrorist, oh, when I read the Qu’rran, it only talks about killing anyone who’s not a believer in Mohamed religion of muslismisam, very sad book indeed. You say Mecca has been around for THOUSANDS of years, also not true. Your prophet Mohamed wasn’t around until 500 years after the Messiah and Saladin didn’t get Jerusalem until about the 1300 or 1400′s.

But hey, if I’m wrong (and its very possible) show me the way, where on the net is the Qurran in english for all to read and be able to either agree or denounce it?

Did you not read the part the I wrote: if I’m wrong (and its very possible) show me the way. Do you not see that I am more then willing to see the non newspaper print of what being a Muslim is about? All I see everyday on T.V. is bombings and beheadings and rehashing of 9/11 videos, Muslims in the Philippines killing entire villages and women being stoned to death if someone said she might have had talked to a non muslim : http://www.islam-watch.org/SyedKamranMirza/honor_killing.htm :( oh, and just so you know, I was trying to learn from a muslim woman and her brother found out, so now guess what happened to her) or just type in on a Google search : killings by islamic terrorist – you get 6,810,000 pages of this and the list goes on and on. You think because I wrote and asked you where on the net is the Qurran in English for all to read and you don’t respond to that but tell me “expand your mind and get to know muslims ‘AROUND THE WORLD’ ” and so I can expand my mind by what you said I’m a prick? Diligence, you might try to look in a mirror and see who is looking at you. Since we are images of God, who is that person that you are the reflection of? Now, once again, try to remain calm and ~ show me the way, enlighten my knowledge of muslims from a non newspaper viewpoint. But if all you are going to do is call me names and spout venomous words, then that will only enforce and show that the news that we get here in America is true. Show me that I am wrong.

killings by Christian terrorist around 4,000,000
killings by Jewish terrorist around 3,000,000.

Are we judge the world about what happen depending on the net and news channels from 1 or 2 events and become published around the world by more than 200 countries with their different media types, that’s not fair.

Are watching TV, how about Reality Zone channel, they show programs like Medicine Detective and a program i forget his name begin with skeleton and see the terror itself.

It is the same issue with Christians, shoot all major religions based off Judaism. Thaylin, your posting on September 11, 2010 at 7:21 pm. You are absolutely right that there is not a billion Muslims in the world, if there were that many and only 1/10 were radical types, America would be burned to the ground and anyone not willing to covert to Islam would be killed. Also, the vocal ones cause everyone the problem and kill to prove that they cant accept peace as a life style, and yes, in the past, the same issue with Christians who were Catholic was to shoot/tourcher/ all other major religions not of their believes . Yes it would be wonderful if people let people live their lives how they want to, but in reality, greedy violent religious hedonistic people always try to force others to conform to how they want them to live, even though it is contrary to all of good peoples teachings. Thank you for showing this and the comment.

You know most of that can be applied to christianity too, why do they get to be the exception? The bible itself has passages on why you should hate non-christians also. FUNNY THAT. They’re both as bad as each other lol. It’s a matter of how INDIVIDUALS want to interpret that.

For example: Some catholic priests rape little boys, so ALL Christians must be evil pedophiles. <- That is just not logical.
There were probably less than 100 individuals in on the WTC attacks, 22% of the WORLD’s population consists of muslims. Think about it for just a second.

To answer those criticizing Israel for starting terrorism,

You should really read your history books. First and foremost, Israel was very peaceful, after WWII, when it first became a country. It wasn’t until the British decided to start a rift between the Arabs and the Israelis in the 60′s. That is what lead to the 7 day war between the Arab nations and Israel. Israel won that war and gained lands. Golda Meir the first prime minister of Israel was hailed as a world hero for destroying terrorist countries back then. Britain does not like to give up territories after they occupy it. This is why the Israeli’s had to fight the British. Remember the US fight against the British in 1700′s. If it wasn’t for our terrorist tactics against the British we still be part of jolly olde England.

Now as far as the girls being banned from cheerleading. I would say this is really ridiculous. They are beautiful and I guarantee you they would kick some ass. We need to get rid of the Arab countries in these competitions and the Olympics if they want us to banned stuff. This is our country and other countries should be allowed to compete. Its a right and a freedom. Oh yea since the Bush regime we have no more rights.

Any societies have values to follow. Even you Westerns who always say “freedom”, you have values like democracy, equality, human rights, racism, also that freedom itself.

In the name of freedom, can you kill people, hate African or other races, etc?

So, there are rules! Not totally freedom.

Also religions, cultures and any other societies in the world have their own values, rules, restrictions, etc.

So, who decide that a value is right, wrong? Just because it comes from Western societies? or just because of more people support it? (well in this term, Asian, or even Moslems are more than Western).

Don’t be so hateful. Remember, Asians and Moslem countries like Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Pakistan are growing and getting bigger power and economy.

I am Asian (although not moslem), and since I was kid, I always think that Western people are great. But .. I’m really disappointed to see your comments here.

        Hey Thugangel123,
When you say “And what if the women feel comfortable while wearing it?” Are you saying that the women who are muslims are more inclined to feel safe because the muslim men can’t tell if they are old or not naked or on the rag or packing a knife so they won’t be raped? Harsh commentary from a non-muslim female.

Islam teaches us to be tolerant of all other religions, as mohammed ali once said “just as all rivers have water, all religions have truths”. learn from the ways of your predecessors as we have from our holy prophet. Insults and whatever else people want to do to Islam will never stop us from being who we are, our Prophet went through wars and dealt with alot of people who refused his words of wisdom, they too insulted him and belittled our religion, he did not yield to create waves of vendetta as the people of today do to muslims, yet look at Islam today..We stand strong because of the way we live our lives even though half the world hates us. And anybody can say what they want here on this little blog but the truth is- your words dont mean anything from behind your PC neither will they make a difference to anyone, coz they sure dont make me feel less of a muslim, i just have pity upon you people who cant even follow your own beleifs..where is the justification of your words…isnt ther a saying of some kind..WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? Im pretty sure he wouldnt go around insulting people because of their ways.

Ha, you say words mean nothing here. What if, by some odd chance, there is a someone here who hates muslims. He hates them with every fiber of his being, he hates the hypocrisy of the religion, the veils, the stereotypes and he doesn’t know what to do. He’s contemplated extreme action but hes kept himself together so far. And then he reading these comments and this blog and he just can’t stand them anymore, he snaps. He goes out and he murders a Muslim. And any one of these comments might just be the one that sets him off… You wouldn’t believe how powerful 1 internet blog comment can be, let alone the thousands of different views and opinions.
It’s Rupert Murdoch’s only weakness in the vast media he owns, he fears the free internet speech and he’s a powerful man…

Jesus would love them, BUT he would also show them the error of their ways, and if they did not turn-He’d “shake their dust from off of his feet”. I’m fortunately NOT Jesus…as far as I’m concerned- Muslims-kill ‘em all because they have only ONE GOAL-dominate the world. Now You can candy-coat it anyway you want but it’s the TRUTH During the 12th century they were were well on their way to taking over the world, but -Charles Martel and his army stopped the muslims at the battle of Tours, France in A.D.732. as well as other battles as late as the early 1600′s THEY WILL NOT STOP-PERIOD the koran dictates that a good muslim will kill the infidel (unbeliever) Islam is NOT a religion of peace, but of slavery, bigotry, and domination.

Here in the U.S. people didn’t rant about terrible Christians when Timothy McVeigh blew up a government building in Oklahoma City a few years ago, or about terrible Mathematics professors when Ted Kaczynski (called the Unibomber in the American press) was sending bombs through the mail. Just as Christians, Mathematics professors, and even those of us of Irish heritage are not all mad bombers neither are the vast majority of Muslims. If you take a large enough sample from any group you will find some crazy ones. It’s a shame so many people are quick to hate those they are not familiar with. (How’s that for a parochial American).

Are people really arguing about this. Its basketball… basketball. Since when exactly have countries all over been “ass kissing” muslims? Either way, this isn’t something to get passionate about. Its cheerleaders. Whether you agree with the religion or not.. this is about cheerleaders, not religion. Im am positive that Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, and most other organized religions would have a problem with women walking around in mini skirts and fuzzy knee high boots. God and sex generally don’t go together. So this isn’t a religious war.. this is basketball. If the basketball organization has banned these poor darling cheerleaders be mad at them not each other. Actually… don’t be mad at all, because this has nothing to do with anything relevant or important what-so-ever.

I’d like to hear of more (some?) Muslims denouncing the acts of terrorism. If it’s happening in Muslim countries more as someone said here why are the locals not doing more to stop it. Maybe they are but it sure never makes the news. Everyone chicken, hiding in the sand? Even anonymous tips are possible now with cell phones. Let’s hear some protests from religious leaders. I say the Pakistan floods are caused by harboring the Taliban, Allah sees their wicked ways and disapproves. Who can say that is the wrong interpretation. Root out the evil, do it.

Muslims don’t do anything to stop terrorism???

You do realize that US anti-terrorism forces come train in Egypt, by Egyptian anti-terrorism forces?

You do realize, that the underwear bomber’s dad called the FBI & CIA and warned them about his son’s intentions, and they did NOTHING to try and stop him, right?

You do realize, that the terrorist plot to bomb the Canadian parliament and kill Steven Harper the Canadian prime minister, was foiled by an Arab Muslim who was working with the Canadian Intelligence Agency, by infiltrating the group and risking his life, right?

You do realize, that Arab countries suffer the most from Terrorism, and not Western countries?

You guys have it easy! Come live in an Arab country, and see just how much terrorism hurts them!

Arab countries have jailed more terrorists than all the rest of the world combined!

So please don’t claim that Arabs & Muslims do nothing to stop terrorism, these people risk their lives everyday to protect others, and they never get credit for it!

It’s sad that Turkey has come to this point, under the Qur’an-thumping Gulenists. Turkey was once a beacon of hope as a tolerant, secular Muslim country; now it’s run by gynophobic fundamentalists, who can’t stand the sight of a women without a bag over her head. Kemal Ataturk–who loved women, and would have enjoyed seeing these cheerleaders–is probably rolling over in his tomb.

There has been far too much death related to religion over the last 2000+ years, when will people learn it just aint worth it. For myself, I believe in what I can see, I’m very reluctant to believe something written 1000′s of years ago which has no doubt been altered to suit different perspectives many times since…Be nice to each other and enjoy your time on this planet…

So, why are they banning the cheerleaders? Is this a PENALTY?!

You think Islam is just in Afghanistan, that’s wrong Islam is everywhere even in USA may be in your neighbor, Are they dangerous?

Return to those people from Afghanistan, do u know them if they are
Muslims or not, they belongs to Islamic country, do you watch their behavior, are they pray 5 times a day, fasting Holy month Ramadan, Out the Zakat and Go To Haj.
Are they do specious things like you said also raping, stealing, gambling and drinking wine, in this situations they banned from Islam until they really declare repentance, then Great Allah will forgive them, you see the mercy of Allah.
For that I can say USA is Islamic country coz they have Muslims in it. for example, a person with no religion bomb a mosque in USA and not arrested, after some days he burns another mosque and so on and said he was a Christian, on in this case Muslims will think all of Christian are terrorist like what you think about Muslims.

The bitter truth that they not be considered cases on the fingers.

In my view the rules should reflect the laws and culture of the host nation, not of the fans attending. The whole religious bearing is silly. How is religion connected to cheer-leaders? Just because some chauvinist gets offended by women that are actually proud of their bodies then its his problem. Why can men wear what they want and women have to cover from head to toe? So that some other man doesn’t try to seduce or try her? Wake up! Woman was stoned to death in KSA a while back after she was raped because court figured she breached her devotion to husband. All those offended by women showing their beauty need to stay away from places where women are. If the championship was in KSA then sure, by all means dictate the rules, but its in a country where its ok for a woman to show herself then if someone doesn’t like it then too bad. Turn away and don’t watch.

      Hi
First forgive me for bad writing
I live in IRAN and i know how do you (not all of you)think about my country
but listen !!! I am human and i live here.you cannot judge anyone around the world by words like “damn/terrorist muslim or …” islam is path like any other paths in the world like Jewish or Christian and if you see terrorism or “making-a-law-for-worlk” things or “dont do this dont do that” things , it all about goverments
believe me I and many many others in my country know this in not real islam (it is many of mine country human’s thinking not torkish or arab’s)it is goverment to control us (like north korea)so i think you should change your way of thinking first go to moslim countries or read about them well then write about them OK!!

but about this cheerleaders… OK they are cherrleader and they are doing whatever they like its OK
but listen to me (It is not what i really think i like all humans as they are)from the point of humanity IS IT GOOD TO USE HUMANS AS “MOVING BILLBOARDS”? ISNT IT MAKING MONEY WHIT BODY? shame on you if you dont think about this !!!
WE ARE HUMANS what are you think about WE ARE NOT “THINGS” or “ANIMALS” without clothes or “TO SHOW THEM WHAT THEY WANT”!!!!
all you say is “Human Rights! -Human Rights!-Human Rights!-Human Rights!-Human Rights!-Human Rights!”
OK i belive in Human Rights too but Human rights as human not anything else
when some thing is good for us we say “yes it is good as it should be!” and when its not “NO ITS NOT GOOD YOU ARE WRONG!!!!” ….JUST ….JUST look at yourself then think about it about your Daughter or your sister , what you like for them and what you dont

and i am sorry about LOOOONG writing but i Invite you to think

Too bad, we don’t have cheerleading in my school, if we did have that would be just a dream. Nor are we, girls, are allowed to wear short skirts or any jeans. Our parents won’t just buy one either. well, i wear, since i’m studying in qatar. My parents don’t take it a big deal. but i think the other parents do in india. well, i can see why in India it’s. I go to India to spend my vacations. I wear jeans and tops and sometimes even short skirts, when i go out like that , guys from 14-26 age look at me like they’ve neve seen a lady and i feel awkward. I understand why parents don’t allow their daughters to wear these. especially, if girls came out like these outfits, you get it?

I am not a bigot a racist or anything of a kind, in fact I too immigrated. I am European and love the freedom of movement within the EU, as an atheist I dont feel the pressure within Christian nations to belong to any religion.
In the UK we are constantly being bombarded with political correctness and the fear of offending one minority or another. Everyone is entitled to a better life and if it is in another country from the one you were born in so be it, so long as you contribute to the new society that has taken you in, and most importantly accept the different culture without trying to impose your own, when in Rome and all that, otherwise stay in your own land. Our Politians don’t have the balls to say what most of us think, so the Australian Prime Minister is a breath of fresh air.

Australia says NO! Second Time she has done this!
AMAZING You must read it !!!!

      She’s done it again..

She sure isn’t backing down on her hard line stance and one has to
appreciate her belief in the rights of her native countrymen..

A breath of fresh air to see someone lead. I wish some leaders would step
up in Canada & USA , and the UK

Australian Prime Minister does it again!!

This woman should be appointed Queen of the World…… Truer words have never been spoken.

It took a lot of courage for this woman to speak what she had to say for the world to hear. The retribution could be phenomenal, but at least she was willing to take a stand on her and Australia ‘s beliefs.

The whole world needs a leader like this!

Prime Minister Julia Gillard – Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday
to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to
      head off potential terror attacks..

Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying
she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques. Quote:

‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.. Take It Or Leave It.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘

‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’

‘We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!’

‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.’

‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’

‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining,
whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or
Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’.’

‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here.
You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’

Maybe if we circulate this amongst ourselves in Canada & USA, WE will find the courage to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

It is the tragedy of our Age that the the world’s major religious movement, with 3.6 Billion Faithful Adherents should become set against itself. All worship an exclusive God, though known by different names, believe that God creates, is one, rules, reveals, loves, judges, and forgives. All believe in one personal eternal God who created the universe, who rules history, who sends prophetic and angelic messengers and who reveals the divine will through inspired Scriptures. All affirm that obedience to this creator God is to be lived out historically, and that one day God will unilaterally intervene in human history on the day of judgment and will determine for all humanity their eternal destinies of heaven or hell based upon a person’s beliefs and actions.

And yet with this monolithic commonality, the children of Abraham have become hopelessly divided. As these major branches further developed to offer detailed maps to salvation, which each offer certain (slightly different) absolutes required to attain salvation through the attainment of God’s Grace. Through accident of birth, pride, ignorance, and uncompromising literal application of words to a formula instead of the acceptance of God’s Grace for Guidance, too many mistake rigid adherence as righteousness. True righteousness is an internal experience, but when it is mis-formed, it becomes outwardly focused, judgmental, aggressive, with Evil result. God doesn’t “need” any of us to enforce His will.

God help us all, and Peace be upon you.

      Dear Anna
You propably attack to others the way you do , because it is the common way to state something of minor value like to be the most valuable idea than anything. so ” uneducated ” Anna, the truth is, Arab Muslims when in groups of 2 or 3 families in an foreign for them country , are really polite , sensitive and talk sometimes against the theocratic system of the country of their origin, etc. When they reach the 10 families in the same area they uncover their real face everything change , and they dont want anymore to be a part of the society they are living , they act like they are having rights over schools , education , religion , community , family values , of the area where they live , forgetting that not even the 1/4 of those rights were EVER given to foreign into their countries , plus they spread their own ideas by forcing any kind of rights given by the community they live into. They even follow their own DRESS CODE !!

2 easy to indentify examples :
      1. Germany
      2. England

they even claim churches over other religions ( Christian Orthodox snt Nicolas Churh , New York , next to ground Zero claimed by Muslims after been destroyed in 9/11 because they DIDNT HAD A MOSQUE IN THAT AREA!!!! even if this church was going to be rebuild , they were yelling loudly about their rights over others)
So let me use your way of speaking Anna , just turn over , and continue dreaming!

Israel belives Yahova, Muslims belives Allah and Christians belive the God.. Alright than we all belive to the same right? Yes we do, and the only difference between us is, we have our own ways. Muslims go to mosque, Christians go to churc..The main reason is still god. I mea that we are speaking the same language, just with different accents.
Let me introduce you myself. I am a Swiss-Turk and going to an English-Learning based college. For me, Its like living the same life with people from other countries. For me, I live the way I like. I pray to god everyday, maybe not five times a day, but I am not doing this cuz I am Muslim, I am doing it cuz I want to. I had a chance to read few parts of the Koran. Belive me guys Its never talking about making all people Muslim or conquring all the planet. It talks about the real respect. It talks about accepting people with their own ways. Whatever the situation is, stayin polite. Thats what is Koran based.
Half of my friends are Christians or from other religons. When they learn my religon they ask about dirty-beared guys or terrorism. And everytime, I have to tell them that thoose people are using the name “Islam” to succes their own goal like killing people. They are bunch of un-educated people. But I understand others too. Or I think I understand them. There is always the word “Islam” with the word “terrorism”. No guys, belive me Its wrong. Thoose two word just opposite of eachother.
Before I finish my words I want to talk lil’ bit bout myself. I love joining partys, having girlfriend, having sex. Who dont love thoose? But I am still Muslim. Thats why cuz Islam is a way of thinking instead of a real “life style”. Sorry If I were girl, noone could force me to wear veil, or today noone force me pray 5 times a day. I am Muslim cuz I think that way, not cuz I live like a life-less person.

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.
      Dalai Lama

How bout thinking like this.. A little kindness..And than a little respect..And than we will see there is “peace”. Not just the word told by leaders to decive people to join his movements, I mean the real one.. The that makes everyone live happy together.. Thats the “Eternal-Peace”

      Thanks for reading.

Islam is a religion of peace. U shudnt judge all Muslims from select individuals. It is very true that many Muslims have deviated fromthe path of true Islam. Everyone is entitled to follow any religion they want, or believe any beliefs they may hold. Islam forbids forceful conversions to Islam. “Let there be no compulsion in religion” This is a passage from the Quran. It clearly shows that let ppl believe wat they want to believe. We want peace. We dont want to take over the world.

First, peaceful religion is a lie. At least based on most sane people’s definition of the term. We will not go anywhere arguing what history and current events tell not to mention quotes from the book itself.

Now as for modesty then it is very much required even by most who subvert Islam.

But here’s the deal. In America having sex under the age of 18 with someone over the age of 18 is a crime. Not most countries are this way. So what if a man brings his 13 year old bride to the US during a game and goes to his hotel and has sex with her? Would he be arrested? You bet he would.

Just because some cultures like seeing the skin and some girls like to show it does not mean everyone feels the same way. If something offends one person we have never met do we stop it? If it offends someone we invite to a party do we stop it? What if it offends 50%? How about 20%? Just stop and think.

Just because myself and many others are offended by the way women are flaunted here in the USA and many other countries does not mean we stop it. I would stop it if I could but I would not waste my breath trying. Especially with young children being paraded like porn stars on stage. But when we get together with our neighbors shouldn’t we at least do our best not to offend them?

At least act like you can go without sex for a day!

Why do we keep bending to the will of muslims? Allowing sharia law in courts, censoring images, banning cheerleading? We need to stand up to these guys and say NO MORE. They can have all their laws and beliefs observed.. IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. If they wanna come out and play with the rest of the world, they can’t just start making up rules the rest of us must follow.
