Ancestors of Modern Copiers Still Alive!

These are two electrophotocopiers: ER-620KZ and ER-420R. Both working. To the maximum.

These “workhorses” are used in an office of the design institute “StavropolGrazhdanProekt”. In all next offices only modern devices are used. So what are the reasons they are still here? Because they never malfunction or run hot, they can work non-stop and never fail. Besides they can “eat” any paper and use violet balls with ink that are cheaper than ordinary cartridges for modern copiers. We believe they will serve many more years.

My aunt still has her 1930 Model A Ford. Won’t win races, but looks sharp in parades.

Please do a post with actual photos of the printed copies. I would love to see the printing quality.

I work in a print shop. I’m not totally sure what the first machine shown is. (the one with woman feeding material into it). But the second machine is definitely not a copier. it’s a guillotine for cutting paper.

Perhaps one of the old ones that works with Ammonia / ammonium chloride . Blue paper and a air suction to remove the bad fumes.
