Recently there was held another historical festival devoted to the history and culture of Ancient Rus and its neighbouring countries in IX-XI centuries. Here are some photos of the event.

My sister saw this while I was looking at this and now she thinks that I look up pictures of medieval warriars on my free time.
Looks interesting. All we get over here in the U.S. midwest is Civil War re-enactors. Well, there’s an occasional War of 1812 re-enactment or even a Revolutionary War group. But no spear-throwing jousters that I know of.
England has it best. On the anniversary of Hastings they got several hundred guys in full kit and shot volleys of real arrows at them.
Now THAT is awesome!
