    Revolution in a Supermarket!

You probably remember those guys from art-movement “War” that drew a gigantic penis at a bridge in St. Pete, facing the very FSB HQ. Now they are up with one campaign more, “Revolution in a supermarket!”, and this time supermarkets are on the line.

As Alexey (you can see him on the header image) and Yana Plutser-Sarno, who at the moment are on the risk of being arrested and sentenced for 8 months of imprisonment, say, “Food in Europe became a privilege and not a right of every freeman. And we, War art-movement, are waging a war with this infernal system till the very last cog of the Capitalists machine will be torn out.”

Activists of the movement were eating food within sight of security, sleeping in refrigerators, fighting security officers, swimming in fish tanks and throwing food at the staff. And they say it’s not the end yet…

    Attention! Disturbing pictures inside!

It’s one thing to protest but how is damaging good food products helping people who are hungry? Publicly pressure the rich to donate food/money to help those less fortunate.

Great, either higher food prices for all, or they’ll sell the stuff they messed up to unsuspecting buyers.

I don’t know why anybody would put up with this. This isn’t “art.”

The guy in the lead photo looks like the reincarnation of Rasputin. Maybe that’s the problem.

this is how the situation is: in Communist time people had money (or something to pay with) but there was no food, today in capitalism time there is food but no money. The situation is the same, you have no food.
