    Map Of Russia – Though Not As Large As Was Expected

    In early June it was announced: “A map of Russia of area 500m2 will appear on the pavement near the Moscow University of Geodesy and Cartography. The gigantic map will be drawn by artists who work with “graffiti” technique”.

    Either students are kind of strange or we just can’t count, but it doesn’t seem like 500m2 …

        Was simple. Paving stones created co-ordinated grid for outlining. Lines were prior placed on grid-map, so easy work to transfer to stones. In last photo can be seen horizontal and vertical reference lines.
        Even an American could do this!

        looks like about 200m2 but no way is even close to 500m2

          10m by 5m equals a 500m2 rectangle
          the painted area is probably more like 200m2
