Hahahaha, just kidding! :D The ones here are gorgeous, I wish I was so creative with food.

  4. OLUT says:

    Argh, stooopid “awaiting moderation.”

What I said was, I think the pictures on the “Bon Appetit Fail” entry were much more beautiful than these ugly things.

LOL, not! :D These here are awesome, I wish I could do the same!

PS: Why does it keep saying garbage as an ingredient? Garbage means trash!

there are some bento boxes there. and they’re from japan, not russia.

    • OldBikr says:

I suppose you have perhaps forgotten your geography, Julie. Russia spans from the Far East, all the way to Eastern Europe. This factoid alone could easily account for the Oriental influence you are remarking upon. Contact influences content in the realm of food and culture, after all.

This food selection is not only pleasant to look at, contains some very healthy components. As long as this food is served up fresh, I am certain it is also quite delicious too. I would even go so far as to say, it is probably better than most of you haters deserve.

As my grandfather used to say… “some of you characters would gripe if you were hung with a new rope.”

  6. Gerhard says:

For some reason, Russian food always looks disgusting, even when it’s beautiful. No thanks.

  7. YJ says:

Most of it are cold dish. Russians don’t eat a lot of hot food.

Interesting but I prefer my food not to be over handled by people. Just give us the food please, save the art for paint and canvas..

I’d like the pancakes with caviar. Believe the pancakes are called blini in Russian. Some of the dishes look good, others not. Hey, same as here in the USA. :)
