this is what you get for driving Hyundai. Terrible safety rating.

I had 13 Hyundais and one I was involved in head on crash. I survived without a scratch. The minivan I hit was thrown over onto its side. I would rather be in no other car than 85 Pony; Even the cop said if I was in a weaker car, I would have been wearing my engine.

Tiburons are great cars, almost better than Lada ;)

At that speed & scenario, Volvo wouldn’t help either. BMP 3 might.

  7. Original Kirov says:

I guess the guy just leaned a bit to the right and evaded the rail easyly that way. Thats what I would do.

  8. SSSR says:

Don’t text while driving!!Let technology work for you and not against you!!

  9. Never seen a wreck like this with the guard rail impaleing a car. Please, what kind of car would protect you from a ton of spiked steel, none. This guy had to have lost something.

  10. Testicules says:

This is what happens when you use shoe strings to hold safty rails together.

  11. JerryBarada says:

A few years back, I saw a similar accident in Belarus, but the driver was not so lucky to survive. The railing tore through his leg, and he bled to death before emergency care could get to him. So sad. So sad. How many others killed and maimed before Belarus fixes their dangerous and deadly guard rails?

  12. Josie says:

They were very lucky that they survived this. Unbelievable.

  13. fredrin says:

Ah, Guardrail spearing. That used to be a problem here in the states back in the 60s and 70s, before they changed the way guardrails were anchored and mounted, in particular the ends (so the collapse and crinkle in ways that prevent these kind of accidents).

  14. From Minsk says:

I saw this accident. The driver and passenger are alive.

  15. Musa says:

What a horrible looking wreck. Thanks for the information. Now I will know to watch out for impaling guard rails in Belarus. Yikes!

  16. froggy says:

yea these guard rails look exactly like in California.
