    Dullest santa parade

They had the dullest of the dullest Santa parades this year in Minsk, Belarus. And no snow too.

You can’t be excited when you are forced to go there, and believe me all these people on the photos would be at home rather than there on that street.

I lived in Minsk for 5 years,
        hello from Sydney.

Any parade looks sad in still photographs… Belarus is a beautiful country, but there’s only so much enthusiasm to be had when it’s cold and wet and grey. Not much Christmas spirit in lead-coloured skies.

:/ Got me serious as well.

WHY THE MINSK POLICE USES 300C’S??? I mean, there are better German cars which they could use, if Russian cars aren’t fulfilling the standarts. :/

The two models are very similar, the 300 is a station wagon.

In ex-USSR they are cheap because they are hand imported from the streets of Europe. There is only the cost of new locks.

kind of looks like the parades in my town, that is why I never go. The whole town lines us along the street to watch 15 minutes of pathetic.

the atmosphere seem not to be very enthusiastic, the people look sad and there´s no real “glamour”… just a few bad looking costumes… the best thing about this celebration is the Police-Chrysler…

Belarus and Kiev were a part of the Soviet Union. Russia as well.

But I must rant again about the lack of material about Central Asia.
