    Naked Run

    25
Posted on February 28, 2008 by russia

Moscow is a very conservative city. No gay pride parades were ever allowed by the city authorities to be held. Because of that it’s even more unclear how a naked man can ran across the city so freely. Maybe it is some kind of the top city authority – look how police secures his way!

OMG russians are so poor they cannot even afford decent clothes. I feel sorry for them. :(

May be the man cannot afford clothes, but he can afford the escort of three special cars ;) . It costs much more then just a clothes. There’s nothing to feel sorry about.

He is either mentally ill or just running to make a point. The cops are going to let him run out of steam and then arrest him. This is not unusual in the west. It’s a stunt.

As the cops in the US say, “Nothing to see here. Move along.”

He is trying to break Guinness World Record for naked marathon running. The record was previously held by myself, at a time of 2:59:17 for Naked Boston Marathon in 1998. However I wore shoes, so I give him credit– 26 miles in bare feet on pavement will definitely hurt– this will end his running career.

You have to be pretty damned daft to conflate Gay Pride parades and streaking.

This is a nutjob and police are dealing with it in nonviolent manner. What’s so unusual about that?
