There was not enough snow for snowmen.

(That was horrible: not enough snow in MOSCOW in JANUARY. Eugh.)

why do snowmen look the same in every country: three large spheres of snow, carrot nose, sticks for arms. . . ?

is it just the nature of snow to roll up large balls and stack them?

      meme?

That looks like a nice winter festival. I would like to see more of the festivities and people.

illich, yes it’s easiest to make them that way. When I was a child we would start a ball of snow rolling down a big hill and it would grow to over 3 meters and crush all before it just like Soviet Russia.

Looks to me like someone took a leak in the snow before they made the snowmen ;) But I guess that’s just the lighting.

I’d like to ask the author of these photos, Mr. Invanov, if it’s okay to use the first picture in a humor article I’m writing about “criminal snowmen.”

I don’t think I’ll be lucky enough to get a response in a three-year-old post, but I thought I’d at least try.

      Thanks,
      RG
