Where in Russia is this? That’s so sad that it is just completely abandoned.

  2. Dido says:

What’s in that box next to his foot?

  3. Yuri says:

    It looks like sugar

  4. briank says:

Inside the box is some curry noodles for when he gets hungry.

  5. Nikkou says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if it were drugs. That corner would be the perfect place to spot a junkie.

  6. illlich says:

I suspect that the field Pushkin sits in used to be a park of some kind, and has fallen into disuse and disrepair. Perhaps this is in an area that has experienced a large loss of population?

Considering that Pushikin is easily the greatest Russian laguage poet, there are probably many many statues of him across Russia, not surprising that at least one of them ended up like this. Still somewhat sad.

  7. TTLSD says:

That’s very sad oicture , it is sad that monuments of great russian citizen are in such bad condition.

I think may be someone have ideas why on this anti-russian site was added this theme.
))) It is not very complicated exercise for you, i’m sure.)))
And i have an idea, that someone who has done this photo makes this horror with monument.

  8. jimmy says:

hmm…it seems to be of poor quality. it’s probably just one of many.

  9. TTLSD says:

Yes, of course it it just one of many, because we love Pushkin, he and his poems are great!

  10. Texas1 says:

His eyes are really groovy. He must have smoked a big fat marijuana cigarette while he was posing for that sculpture. On the other hand, his nose doesn’t seem quite right. Maybe he snorted something instead.

  11. bingcherries says:

shame it’s all broken and forgotten

  12. TTLSD says:

    Well, it is very simple.)))
I think, that this site’s moderators want to show you analogy between our Pushkin and Michael Jackson. And it is very strange, that you didn’t find it.
It is well known, that Pushkin and his family has afroamerican rootes, so there exist something in Pushkin’s face and Jackson’s one.

    But about nose – vandalism

  13. Texas1 says:

I bet he could bust out a rhyme in his day.

  14. Acts_of_Atrocity says:

Yeah, the Pushkin was a real pimp around St.Petersburg in his days.

“Nataly (his wife) is my one hundred thirteenth true love ;)” – he wrote.

  15. Matt says:

This is the saddest picture on your site. Wish you would tell us where this is so Pushkin-lovers around the world could take up a collection to rescue this monument.

  16. XP says:

I’m from Russia. Of corse it is very bad, but not all monuments in Russia so terrible. And a lot of beautiful places in my country. It is not true Russia, but its worse part.

  17. Texas1 says:

Hey XP, we know all know that. Don’t get upset. We like Russia.

  18. Alexei says:

Afroamerican roots? Hmm… I didn’t know pushkin had american roots.

  19. TTLSD says:

Well, sorry, but today it is more popular to say ‘afroamerican’, of course only african roots))). Us were then only in project)). Or not?
