    Russian Vodka Spreads

    31
Posted on October 18, 2006 by CJ

It’s not only men duty in Russia to drink a lot.

Girls drink also, even such young ones like this one.

Honestly, it’s sometimes a pretty typical thing to see in Russian smaller cities. And it’s pity, it has been said that woman get addicted to alcohol at more rapid rate and it’s more hard for them to quit.

The guy seem to be more tolerant to the Vodka.

He even tries to help her.

The most awful thing is that they are doing this on the children’s playground – and kids don’t care, they are used to see such things all over again.

She doesn’t seem to be ready to go.

    So the guy gave up.

Alcohol is a real problem in Russia, and it was always.

Oh yeah, its the booze, and banning it will help right? No people start to drink perfume. Get a grip, maybe they drink ’cause living there is hell. Don’t even start with the psudo religion “drinking is a disease” aa nonsense.

They are adults, and thusly should be allowed to get drunk 24×7 if that is their choice. Next thing you know they will be having sex, and with any luck she’ll get knocked up. Russia could use the population last time I checked since it’s in decline.

Yeah, that’s what Russia needs… people who can’t take care of themselves having babies.

@3 why not? Im sure lots of parents puked their guts out in parks, so what? big deal!

@4 woohoo alcohol is a problem, etc etc. I dont buy that for a moment, if anything places where there is none is far more of a problem. As for life being sucky in Russia I’ve been trying to setup a trip out to Moskow & St Petersberg, but its expensive as hell air fare wise. In stead I’ll be in London for the next week+. Oh well.

Ok, people, you had some fun with previous posts, now time for more serious stuff – anti-Russian propaganda. Webmaster – keep it up. They’re not paying you for nothing, remember?

Darek from Poland: I agree with you man, but you don’t see those pictures of drunks from “Paris, New York and Warsaw” posted in internet under the tags “people of France, America, Poland”, etc. with the phrase “that’s a typical thing to see in the cities of those countries”.
If you have such links, maybe you can give them to me, because I’m really curious to see it!

Most of the drunks that you’ll see on the streets of NYC or Washington DC are homeless people who are alcoholics. Most of the homeless that aren’t alcoholic are drug addicts or mentally ill. The vast majority of such people are men. Somebody passed out in broad daylight in a playground like that would probably get picked up by an ambulance and taken to the hospital in the US. If it happened at a party, probably the other partiers would just let the person sleep it off, even if they needed to go to the hospital from alcohol poisoning. It’s NOT to say it doesn’t happen, it’s just not something you see openly in broad daylight. I mean, for one thing, there are laws against being drunk in public.

The vodka costs in the russian villages is about 60 roubles per litre. ($2.2)
But it’s not cheap for many of them.

From these pictures, there’s no evidence that they’re drinking, no evidence of vodka, and no evidence that they’re in Russia. Yes, she seems to be impaired, but from what is not readily apparent.
