In Russia police is not respected by citizens. People simply doesn’t love policemen and often don’t go to police for the help. And police pays back – they often break the laws themselves and policemen behave in not proper way.
There is a lot of police on the street of Russia, one of the reasons is high crime rate, another reason is possibly the belief of authorities that if they have a numerous police at their disposal they can prevent any civil unrest.
Because the police is huge in personnel they often hire people without a proper education to serve in police, just like in 3rd world countries, people without high moral principles and understanding that if they serve as policemen they should serve and protect. Often they do absolutely contrary things. There is a Russian joke: a young man went to work as a policeman, but has not received his salary for quite a long period of time – a few months, so the senior officer asks him – “Why didn’t you get your salary yet?” and the young man replied: “What? I am supposed to get a salary? I though if I got a police uniform and a gun I now can get funding myself”. Sometimes it happens right like in this joke, the only difference that such policemen don’t forget to get their salaries.

Some amateur shots. We are all people, not matter the carrier we do.
Giving a light to a stranger is an expression of compassion, just a few years ago during a Soviet era police would take him away in the trunk to the nearest police station, but now they understand that not much in term of money can they get from him.
The Russian police now is very corrupted, and nothing can be done because this corruption comes from the people, who support it. They don’t comply they got used that the police is such a thing that can demand money or use violence without a reason, so they just try not to apply to police without a very serious reason. And it’s a pity.
I live in Latvia (but I am not Latvian or Russian) and the police are much the same. I don’t see them drunk and passed out, but they love their bribes. Oh, and while I am here, I just want to say that Latvians and Russians get along fine here, for the most part. The news and the governments (Lativan politics is hilarious) make it out to be worse than it is.

For you scepticists out there, these photos are not only absolutely true, – the horriblest thing, they are TYPICAL. As a habitant of Moscow I can assure you that an average militia man in this city is just that, if not more, mean, fat, ill-tempered and resebles a half-orc. I wonder, do the authorities breed them, or they become like that as a result of their ‘work’? Surely they look not like typical Russians, but some ugly abominations. The specimen in these photos are even not the worst cases. Well, I don’t see them drunk so often, but rather bullying immigrant workers now and then and doing their racket all around. Not a pleasant sight, either – you should’ve seen it.

If you just walk in peace on the streat in your Motherland in Moscow without passport – you have a big risk to find yourself in backside of the net of police department cell! However, what did you expect? Russian policemen are engaged from least-educated social groups and they can not find any other job because they have not any skills or talents. And police job in Russian public opinion is not recognised as estimable job, so this is vicious circle.

Напрямую, конечно, сравнивать нельзя, но… В Германии много раз видел, как полиция шмонала афр… да ну вас, в самом деле! Есть такая раса – негроиды? Есть. Ну так вот, представителей этой расы и шмонала. С обязательным спектаклем в виде “руки за головы” и пр. Конечно, без ударов дубинками, оскорблений и пр. – вполне цивильно. Но: если б пачпорта у него с собой не было – было б ему плохо. Не физически, а морально. Но вот чтоб граждан СВОЕЙ СТРАНЫ так – такого я не наблюдал ни разу.

Я как говорится тронут (в хорошем смысле этого слова) заботой о милиционерах и праведном гневе им сочувствующих, но раз у меня были неприятности с одной конторой и пришлось обращаться так сказать по месту жительства в УВД «Драгомилово», так мне там прямо из окошка приема документов милиционер реально предлагали «крышу» и «знакомых братков съездить разобраться».
Так что это настоящее лицо милиции, что здесь показано. Только таких я их и знаю.

Да, действительно, надо в зеркало чаще смотреть. Все, что показано – правда, чего спорить. Злопыхать и выебываться, что мы, мол, кому то задницу за это надерем, нету смысла. Выглядит еще смешнее. То, что тут выставлено (монтаж или реальные фото) – существует у нас РЕАЛЬНО. Я лично не испытываю чувства мести или неприязни за то, что некто, все равно кто, это нам показал. Но и зависти не испытываю, что мол гдето лучше. Каждому свое. “Это наша Родина, сынок”. Ведите себя прилично, и у вас все будет в порядке.

Меня всегда умиляет фраза типа: “А вы знаете сколько милиционер мало получает?”, типа ну что же вы хотите – дайте 100 рублей несчастному и не спрашивайте слишком много.
Я что-то не понимаю – он что впервые в очереди в бухгалтерии узнал размер своей зарплаты? Нет, сознательно шел на 5-7 тыс. рублей. И значит что получается – с самого начала говорил себе “Пусть зарплата маленькая, зато я сейчас с прохожих насшибаю”.
Если образования не хватает, то для этого ПТУ есть, стань водителем троллейбуса…
Так ведь нет – работать то не хочется, а денег хочется.
Допускаю (с большим сомнением), что есть в милиции люди, которые работают за одну зарплату. Но это в любом случае потенциальный риск. Даже если сам не ищет возможности подкормится, все равно будет готов принять соответствующую сумму от просящего – вопрос только в размере суммы

На самом деле, всё случилось в начале 90-х, когда зарплата милиционеров стала просто нищенской, а техническое оснащение – изношенным и устаревшим. Власти было плевать на милицию, власть увлечённо делила наворов… пардон, приватизированное. Вот тогда и начался мощный отток людей из милиции в бандитские группировки, в бизнес или за границу – детей-то кормить надо, они плачут и политике не внемлют. Так что результат вполне закономерен. Я вот в Москве живу и реально таких милиционеров вижу. Возможно, здесь использован Photoshop, да хоть 3D max и еще бог весть какие программы, но… суть не меняется. Сам сталкиваюсь иногда с милицией, общался с гаишниками и всегда я слышал одно – идут работать набить себе карман.
P.S. Я вижу, что здесь много обиженных людей из бывших республик – зря радуетесь, у вас, ребята, то же самое. Тут не надо радоваться.

In Russia police is not respected by citizens. People simply doesn’t love policemen and often don’t go to police for the help. And police pays back – they often break the laws themselves and policemen behave in not proper way.
Beeeeeep! Mistake! It`s vice versa! Police has bad life (low salary, bad- almost no- social sercurity etc.) and they are furious because of that. So they hates everyone. And tht`s why people hates them.

Well its fun but the truth is you could get a dozen of photoes like this in any country. I lived in London for 4 years and in Zurich for 7 years by now. London…… no coments. The rate of street crime is so high that a person carrying more then 50 pounds or NOT driving a used old french car should never even leave the centre. Zurich better but the whole thing is police seems to work well because nothing ever happens. Majority of them have never seen a dead body and vomit when they see blood. Ofcourse unlike Russian police they are very effective in coming and telling you not to play music after 11 or getting kittens off the trees. Unlike Russian police they never have to deal with anything more serious.
So You can not compare them
And for God sakes in any country people who go to police force are not the most pure responsible heroes

I have repeatedly been deceived them. But while their salary will be such small a situation will not change, it is exact. Normal people because of it there do not wish to go to work.

One thing that is so hard for the critics of US police to understand is that there is no such thing as MVD here.
We hire police on the municipal level and they report to the local mayor or county executive not some generalissimo in Moscow.
This means that they can be fired by the very people who pay local taxes to pay their local police salaries.
In Russia people avoid paying taxes and get the police that is underpaid and rough on them.

im Russian, but i live in London and im thinking about becoming a police officer. in my opinion, British police is great! well, you do get a bunch of weirdos and arseholes, but generally they are really good. They arent corrupted (none that i have met) and mostly really nice!

Actually, you won’t find pictures of UK Police falling a asleep or drunk on the job. Neither do they bribe people or small businesses. I’ve lived in Russia, and seen the bullying and bribery for myself. My husband is Russian and never has a good word to say about Russian police. Russia IS a great country and has many good things, but the police are not one of them! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE PEOPLE!!!

LOL This reminds me of when my grandmother invited a couple of “friends” from russia last summer. The guy was driving home drunk and he got pulled over and decided to try to bribe the cop. The cop pulled out his gun, told him to step out then he threw him on the ground and arrested him. He was fined and had to pay a few thousand dollars and spent in the night in jail. I died of laughter when I heard the story. Thank god I live in america.

I’m from Russia and shall say that this whole site is a very BIG provokation towards both west and Russia. I have been to some European countries, and should say that the situations, shown on the pictures can be found in a lot of Western countries, too! (ex. US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, etc). And the situation in their countries is not perfect, too. The situation in Russia is bad, I admit it, but it’s not a reason for shaming Russia. During History, Russia suffred a lot all those revolutions, WWs, etc. But the respected Western gentelments must know that the beautiful Russian women going to the west in search of ‘better life’ is not a permanent thing. It will end up soon, when they find out about how you behave with them at your ‘high-developed’ countries. Russian people are one of the best in theworld. Our hospitality and mentality is much deeper thjat of all other countries. US and Russia are both countries of contrasts! And Europe, too, it’s just hiden a lot! One day Russia will stop all her distobutions of oil and gas to the EU and USA, and we’ll be laughing at what you’d do then! And Russian women will go back to their Russia male-sputnic of life! By the way – if I were Russian and I would like to keep the reputation of my country, I wouldn’t post here such comments as many Russians have done here (I understand some Russian). I don’t make a generalization, because most Russians I know are really nice, but it seems to me that here most commentators have nothing to say but swearwords in vulgar Russian and simplified English. Do they hope that it would improve the impression we have about Russia after seeing some pictures?
I believe that in the West people don’t take this site even half as seriously as Russians do. And I really hope that everybody believes – most Russians are not as inpolite as this mass of commentators here

hey corruption is everywhere i live in a city in america where a congressman was found with $90,000 in marked bills in his freezer. we just had two policemen fired and possibly face criminal charges for beating up an innocent man. believe me it is everywhere. i could take pictures of american policemen and they would look the same minus the big hats.

I dunno my friend, maybe the situation is better than a country where police are worshipped like Gods. This is how police are viewed in America. Still there is the same corruption, the same ignorance and the same disregard for the constitutional rights of the people. But the government and the media demand that everyone treat police like holy superheroes.
There is a continual daily reminder of how difficult it is to live the life of a police officer, the terrible sacrifices they make, the great achievements told in song and folklore…they can DO NO WRONG here.

American police plant drugs on innocent people, they pump their bodies full of steroids and walk around with their tempers set to boil instantly, they make false accusations and they lie in court.
Traffic enforcement is now a multi-billion dollar industry and so is the fake “war on drugs” here.
To be sure it is shocking to see corrupt violent police in Russia, but at least no one is ordered to worship them as they destroy lives.

Минувшие выходные у меня были посвящены двум новым мультикам, не так давно вышедшим в широкий прокат: Как приручить дракона и Звёздные собаки: Белка и Стрелка.
Обе картины у нас идут в формате Digital 3D, и не сравнить их не представляется возможным. Скажу сразу: понравились обе. Но всё-таки, ИМХО, Белка и Стрелка не дотягивают, и по сюжету, и по “тридэшности”, ну не то это. Может быть предвзятость во мне говорит, всё таки первый русский 3D мульт. К тому же моей спутнице по душе больше оказались именно Звёздные Собаки.
А Вы уже смотрели??? Как Вам эти мульики?

No public drinking allowed at all! You can only drink in your home, or bars, or restaurants, sport events and fairs..but don’t be seen walking down the street with a open can of beer, you will be arrested on the spot…. You cant even step outside with a beer, you will be arrested…

Everything in America is strictly controlled, and you cannot escape big brother here…we have the money to lock up millions more if we have too… We have the largest prison count in the world, almost 8 million total in the Justice System alone… 3 million locked away for years…..
Police will take your blood, alcohol breathilizers… America doesn’t allow for corruption of Police, but we have it in different ways….
If you have a wreck, you can be tested for drugs or alcohol on the spot…..
Once your in the system, everything is tied to that system, everything is electronic, and its almost impossible to get a job once you have a bad record or bad credit….
